What a Bum!

What a Bum!

Ego has always been the problem of mankind and somewhere it was written that EGO means to Edge God Out. What amaze me are those that call themselves man of god or visit the sacred places of worship on a ritualistic manner are sometimes the ones with the biggest Ego and recently this super Ego Malaysian has shown all his devilish traits in public either looking for attention or he thinks he is second only to God as in this Christmas greetings he wrote himself, this is what he wrote: “If thou be at peace, then God is wit thee, If there is some worry, WORRY NOT, Desi is wit Thee”.

Playing the Part of the Loose Canon

See if you can find any similarity to the Malaysian local politics of wily politicians leveraging on fear and uncertainty, some playing the part of the loose canon in trying to get attention and making headline news. In being strategic one must learn to see the reason of being so and why they say what they say, why they do what they do and in revealing the underlying motive, sieving out pretense from truth.

Planned Anarchy?

From Malaysia Chronicle:

Najib's strategy leading to the 13GE seems to be that the bottom line is BN stays at Putrajaya in the aftermath, whatever it takes. His armies of the Special Branch, police, EC, BN machinery are all hard at work to ensure that. The signs that come from the ground seem to be that a victory will not come easily for BN. Najib has then to look for another way, and that is the unfortunate course for the nation.

Quality of life is not about the number of years you live. Quality of life is not about the wealth that you procure. It is about a country free of persecution, discrimination and injustice and where the government respects the fundamental rights of its citizens." ~Raja Petra~

We Are Under Severe Attack! - Raja Petra

Malaysia Today is under severe attack! And another website Free Malaysia Today is also block just a few hours ago. There are rumours going around that Wong Chun Wai the chief editor of The Star new media is to be sack.

There is now a cyber war in Malaysia and the suspicion is that the corrupt and evil people are behind the attack depriving Malaysians of their favourite alternative news site.

The government controlled media are fast losing readership and circulations of the main stream news papers fast dropping and there were talks by the authorities in the implementation of a Malaysian Green Dam to block out internet sites.

"We are under severe attack" Raja Petra said in an email from London as reported by Asia Sentinel just a few hours ago.

The story carried by Malaysia-Today on 5th September about Tay Kay Hock of Johan Holdings Bhd asking for RM500 million for the award of the railway contract and the Penang second bridge project has caught the attention of the Chinese authorities and is viewed with grave concern as the chinese government is on an anti corruption campaign wiht high profile government officials being caught and convicted. Corruption is viewed as a serious capital crime in China and is punishable through public execution.

Palm of the Guru

Palm of the Guru

We were all having an indolent time with the fishermen when someone thrust his palm to me asking for a comment under the dim lights of the wharf and after a casual remark at his sweaty palm the guru who was seated next to me than held up his two hands. The guru had a very rare marking in both his hands, he has a double simian line or in medical term “the proximal transverse palmer crease” and the Chinese call it a “tin cheong” (broken palm in Cantonese).

To have the simian line in any one hand is a rare occurrence and it is very uncommon to have it in both hands and an example of a double simian line (both hands) is Tony Blair, the former British Prime Minister.

The Nation My Country

The Nation My Country
The chinese written language is one of the oldest language in the world which had been traced back to more than 3000 years ago of the oracle bones inscription from the Shang dynasty and its origin is today still widely debated as some scholars are of the opinion that written language has existed in China much more earlier.

There are many archaeological evidence of earlier written language of China like the discovery of the "Daimadi - Ningxia” cliff carvings of some 8000 different characters dating back to 6000 to 5000 BC (about 8000 years ago) which are reported to be similar to the oracle bone writings of the Shang dynasty.
The earlier written characters are progressively describe as pictograph/pictogram, ideograms and logograms and basically means that the characters developed from pictures and images to represents an entire idea, concept or precept.

Pig Fight

Pig Fight

Pigs are intelligent animals and one of the earliest animals domesticated by man. Generally pigs don’t fight much and take fighting as a game or in play, they just loved to get dirty in the mud.

The negative aspect of a pig is overindulgence and in such a circumstance greed than set in, which could cause them to be very manipulative and cunning.

Never fight with a pig.
You can’t win.
You both get dirty.
And the Pig loves it.

-Pasquale Capozzi-

The primary issue face by Malaysians everyday is an environment of highly political maneuvering for leadership in party politics and of national politics, all in the power game that they play at the expense of the people.

This article from Patrick Lee who wrote to Free Malaysia Today best describe the facts of the recent price hikes in sugar, fuel and gas.

Don't forget that the majority of Malaysians today are a poor lot with 57.8% of the total house holds earning less than RM3,000 a month and another 12.9 % of the households earning between 3 to 4 thousand ringgit a month. These are the greater majority of people making up 70.7 % of total households and certainly the umnoputras are not in this category they are in the upper 5 % category living in 24 million ringgit homes.

Subsidy Cuts Adds to Inflationary Pressure Amid Slowing Economy

Malaysia government announced subsidy cuts will result in the increased of petrol, diesel, kerosene, gas and sugar which will spur consumer prices and add inflationary pressure on its majority of low income households. Cost of living will soar and the low income group which makes up more than 70% of the total Malaysian households will face greater hardship and sufferings.(70.7% of Malaysian household earns less than 4000 ringgit a month).

The Malaysia Institute of Economic Research (MIER) has just announced on the same day  that the Malaysian economy growth is expected to slow considerably in the second half of this year. MIER forecast that consumer prices will rise 2.2 per cent this year and added that inflation has climbed by 1.6 per cent in May from a year earlier which is the fastest pace in a year as food and transport costs rose with the strenthening of the economy in the first quarter.
