Anwar had agreed to voluntarily submit himself for questioning at police headquarters Wednesday, but was arrested an hour before the designated deadline by a posse of policemen, some wearing ski masks, outside his house. He was pulled from his car as he arrived home and driven to the police headquarters in an SUV with dark tinted windows. After eight hours of interrogation, Anwar was taken to a hospital for a medical examination before being brought back to the HQ.
